GOP lawmakers back Brown

State Sen. Scott Brown's quest for the U.S. Senate received the official backing of his Republican colleagues on Beacon Hill Tuesday, including Reps. Betty Poirier, R-North Attleboro, Richard Ross, R-Wrentham, and Jay Barrows, R-Mansfield.
Brown, R-Wrentham, was endorsed by the Republicans, including the House and Senate minority leaders, in his Dec. 8 primary election against fellow Republican Jack E. Robinson at a Statehouse event.
"Scott Brown is a fiscal conservative who rejects the belief that big government and higher taxes are needed to spur an economic recovery," Senate Minority Leader Richard Tisei, R-Wakefield, said.
"Scott is running to put people back to work. He won't bow to the special interests, and no one will work harder for Massachusetts. I am proud to endorse his candidacy for U.S. Senate."
The winner of the primary will face off Jan. 19 against the winner of the Democratic primary.

Attaboy should be more respectful of Brown and others who give of their time and energy by serving in our reserve forces. It is not easy to give up your weekend away from your families and a chunk of your summer, and I was only an enlisted man for a few years. Brown is now a Lt. Col. so he has far more responsibilities than I ever had.
To Attaboy, it is one thing to disagree with someone on policy issues, it is another thing to get into name calling. "

This whole Brown Senate candidacy is, as Woody Allen said in "Take the Money and Run," "a sham of two mockeries of a hoax." He knows he has no chance. All he is doing is getting his name out there so he can run for a state-wide office--Attorney General perhaps--once Martha Coakley goes to the Senate. "

That Mr. Hope & Yes, We Can and his partner Mr. "Together We Can." have ripped from my wallet.
Vote, but please don't vote in anymore liberal dems,
I'm broke. I'm not a solon, a road builder, a paver, or a teacher, just a guy who can no longer find work, because of Barney Frank et. al on house banking, and the rest of them.
Bring back Reagan.... or more importantly his advisors. "

FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Nixon, Reagan, Bush 1, and Clinton believed civilian authority ruled the military and is a cornerstone of our democracy.
Yet Clown Boy Brown asserts such decisions should be left to the generals rather than to the commander-in-chief.
Question: If this is what you believe, Clown Boy, how come you supported George W. Bush's decisions to overrule the generals? He refused to commit even a minimum of troops necessary in Iraq to ensure American soldiers' protection until letters started coming home to parents from soldiers complaining about lack of armor, lack of bullets and on and on. You're a hypocrite!
So tell us, Clown Boy, what's the difference?
P.S. If JFK had followed Curtis Lemay's advice to bomb Cuba into the Stone Age in 1962, it would've been WWIII. Unbeknownst to us at the time, the Soviets actually had operational nuclear-tipped missles in Cuba, capable of reaching the contiental U.S. Wisely, JFK didn't listen to the war chiefs. He told them that it was his business whether to start a war. And if he did, it'd then be their business to win that war. Maybe you ought to study history a bit more, Clown Boy! "
