Foxboro U14 soccer takes next step
Top Headlines The group of eighth-graders set out long ago to make it to the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions (MTOC) and this year they made that dream a reality. In order to make it to the MTOC, the U14 team needed to win season after season to move up to Division 2. Through hard work and perseverance, the team made it up to Division 2 last fall but missed out on first place by just one game. However, this past spring season the team took first place and are now in the MTOC playoffs. Defense has been the staple of the current team, Foxboro having given up just 13 goals. Team members include Catherine Hughes, Kassie Sullivan, Carolyn Chlebek, Kristina Ketchum, Leah Callahan, Rachel Pyne, Jamie Monahan, Brooke Martyniak, Caroline Arnold, Sam Motta, Marykate Cardon, Ashleigh McCarthy, Celine DeMaesschalk, Kaileigh Riess, D.J. Quadrozzi and Tess Parsons. Co-coaches are Scott Martyniak and Andrea Parsons.
