Former North Attleboro High School swimming standout and Division 1 State Champion Erica MacDonald has been selected captain of the Connecticut College swim team for the 2008-09 season. A distance and middle distance swimmer for the Camels, MacDonald missed the first half of last season, while studying abroad at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. The international relations and economics major also earned a field research grant and continues her studies this summer in Brussels, Belgium, before returning to New London in September. MacDonald was also named to the prestigious New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Academic team in recognition of both her athletic and academic accomplishments ...
